Are You Trusting or Testing God?
Wednesday, October 11, 2017, 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM EDT
Category: Focus Webinars

Trust: the firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something, or, Test: the trial of the quality of something; to put to the test.

We’ve all heard (and used) the old adage, “God will provide.” And certainly, when it comes to God and our responsibilities in His kingdom, each and every one of us believes that we trust God and that God does indeed provide for His people. But when does “trusting” become “testing?” Maybe God has already provided and we mismanaged it. Maybe God is expecting more out of us than simple platitudes. Jesus tells us that we “must not test the Lord your God” (Mt. 4:7), referencing the complaints of the Israelites in Exodus 17:1-7. It took Israel a lot longer to get from Egypt to Canaan than it should have. Sometimes we make the same mistake and it takes a lot longer for our institution to get where He wants us to be. The difference between testing and trusting is mostly a matter of timing. Where is your institution? Let’s find out together.
